Our Christmas concert is on Sunday 12 December 2010 at 2.30 pm at St George’s Church, Altrincham
Admission and refreshments afterwards are free. A collection will be held for our chosen charity for 2010, the Cheshire Downs Syndrome Support Group.
Choir members please arrive at 1.45 for a warm-up.

We had a ball yesterday at the annual Manchester Amateur Choral Competition held at the Royal Northern College of Music. This was our first ever competition and the standard was extremely high. Although we weren’t placed this time, we sang our hearts out and can be proud of our performance.

We missed winning choir “Inpromptu”‘s performance first time round as we were busy warming up but their reprise was absolutely stunning. Here they are receiving well-deserved applause:
Last year’s winners “Crystal Chords” put on a fantastic performance to take our minds off the judges’ deliberation. Their co-ordinated outfits and Busby Berkeley style choreography matched the quality of their close harmonies. Absolutely mesmerising.
A big thank you to everyone who came to support us. I think we’re inspired to raise our game for next year now…

The MACC competition is being held on Sunday 21 November at the Royal Northern College of Music.
Please keep the whole day free in your diary as doors open at 9.30am and announcement of the winning choir is at 5.00pm

Joy kindly circulated an email today reminding us of the date of our next practice after the summer break which will be Monday 13 September at 7.30pm.

Hello ladies,
The recording of our summer concert with the GMP Choir has been successful and I am now taking orders. The DVD is priced at £5.00 which will cover the cost of duplication plus a contribution to choir funds.
Please contact me via email by 27 July if you’d like to order a copy. I will collect the money at our next rehearsal in September.
